Where do you live? Manayunk
What got you coming to the 505 and what do you like about it?
We have been coming to the 505 since the beginning way back in 2013. It’s been cool to see how its evolved and grown in its ability to create a dynamic worship experience.
Lots of people your age don’t go to church? Why do you think that is and how do you think we can best reach this generation?
For a multitude of reasons, they were either turned off from church or lost interest in what many churches were offering. That’s probably still the case. We need to relentlessly reach out and be aware that, for many people, attending church is both a scary and unattractive thing, so it might take a lot of effort and time. The reason we’ve been involved for so long are the friendships and relationships we have gained here, which are rooted in God and this Church. We believe a lot of people our age are longing for these types of relationships. We also realize that many of our friends aren’t ready for Church again, no matter how awesome the music or the sermon is. In those situations, we need to bring the church and its community to them in less intimidating ways.
What’s your favorite book? We have a pretty extensive library, but we’ll have to go with “Everybody Poops.”
If you could choose one super power, which would you choose? Lindsay — Fly. Marshall — Be able to manipulate time.
Ice Cream or Water Ice? Ice cream. All day. If it didn’t make us fat, we’d eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Shore or Poconos? We both prefer “the beach.” And yes, we’re two of the few Philadelphians that never use the term “the shore!”
